Paternal Instincts

Posted on: Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Usually my boys play with Thomas and Friends Engines or anything with wheels. And the way they play are usually very boyish like the engines running over the cows or The Fat Controller or maybe the engines driving spiderman in their cargo and spiderman flying over the bridges.

However, this morning my boys seem to wake up from the wrong side of bed today. They were each carrying a stuff toy in their hands like a baby, cooing and patting their stuff toys as gently as we will to a baby. I thought it was already a funny sight till I heard their conversation.

Clemens: Damir, Damir carry your baby properly.

Damir:     (patting and swinging toy) Bb bb like this….. sleep already.

Clemens: Pat softly ok? If not wait baby pain, will cry.

Damir:     ok ok, like thissssssssssss………….

Both:       Tuck in the toys under their blanket with love.

Ya it took me sometime to figure out why they are playing babies today till I remember that I had actually brought them to a friend’s house to see her new born baby a few days ago.

Kids are really amazing when they come to imitating.
