Composing Silly Song that Tugs the Heart

Posted on: Saturday, November 1, 2008

My hubby is on a working stint for 6 weeks and every night, he will make a point to call the boys for their good nights before they go off to bed. And as usual, Clemens will always ask him, when he will be coming home and why is he away at work for such a long time then he will start to sing a song he made up for daddy in the tune of ‘Old Mother Duck’.

Daddy went out to work one day, over the hills and far away.

Clemens says, “Come back oh come back”

But Daddy’s still working long all day……..

And as for baby Damir, he will go, “Didi, come back, nite nite, bye bye ……….”

Hilarious, sweet, innovative and heart wrenching for Daddy isn’t it?

Yup, the boys miss you which I am sure you already know.

Aren’t we lucky to have such dear boys at their tender age?
